Fancy is a traditional black and white, tuxedo, American short-haired kitty. She is my third tuxedo cat and they are truly a personality all to themselves. In my experience, they are "tree dwellers" as they prefer to be up high and climb. Such as the curtains or the Christmas tree! But not to worry, they are also very smart. One time correcting an unwanted behavior and they've pretty much got it. No more swinging from the chandelier! They are very low maintenance on grooming, maybe a small amount of brushing as they are putting on, or loosing their winter coat. And yes, even indoor kitty's put on that lovely winter coat. They are high energy until a nap attack hits, then they will flop over where ever they happen to be and it's lights out. Then we're back up and bouncing sideways down the hall, carrying on deep conversations with her siblings, the dog, or me and sometimes...the wall. We haven't figured out what the wall is saying just yet, but she has no problem understanding it. Fancy always has lots to say about pretty much anything you want to talk about, the economy, weather, gas prices, etc. She is not shy about giving you her opinion. And usually her vocals go right along with the expression on her face. And my other tuxedo's where the same way.
Oh! And let's not forget eating! Tuxedo's have a very healthy appetite and are generally pretty muscular, with a little baby fat to round things out. And my girl, as with the others I've had, do love to snuggle. Fancy's favorite place is in my husband's lap getting her tummy petted. Which of course, leads to another much needed nap. Ah, the day in the life of a Fancy cat!
