I picked Bojangles from a shelter she was a little over a year old at the time. We had visited the shelter several times over the course of a few months and decided on her when she was still there. She was very timid when we first got her. We already had two dogs at that time so we kept them separated for a while. She didn't enjoyed being picked up and liked to have her own space.

Over time, she warmed up to people but still did not enjoy being around dogs. She left them alone as long as they did not come near her. She was very sensitive to the way she was pet. She could get aggressive if she felt like her space was being invaded. I believed it may have a lot to do with being in the shelter.

Bojangles was very independent. She enjoyed sleeping but she was also very active. She frequently lounged in our back yard but never left our fenced in area. We would occasionally get a dead lizard as a gift. Although she went out a lot, we never had to give her a bath as she constantly groomed herself. She always remained clean so she was fairly low maintenance. She did shed a lot so we had to brush her frequently.

Overall, Bojangles is an independent cat that enjoys being on her own. She was not good around children or other pets. She was very sweet when she wanted to be.
