A Friend For Life

My American Shorthair Sid is an incredibly sweet, gentle cat who falls in love with every human who pets him. I raised him from a kitten, so he is very loyal to me, and will follow me around everywhere if he wants some attention. However, he also takes very long naps and is content to just sit near me and purr when he's feeling lazy or sleepy (which is a lot!). He's a little skittish around dogs, and doesn't like other cats very much at all, which has never been a problem for me because he's the only cat I need. When he meets new people he may seem a little shy at first, but if you just reach down and pet him softly you'll be his friend forever, and he'll remember you every time you come by for a visit.

Sid has had only one health problem, which is his gingivitis, but even that was easy to fix, and didn't cost much at all. He eats A LOT, and is very intent that his litter should be cleaned routinely, otherwise he will get upset and cause a little bit of trouble. Other than that, he is a perfectly well-behaved cat who all my friends and family love, and I can't imagine my life without him!
