I haven't had Jinx for very long, so we're just getting to know each other. I acquired her from a co-worker. Jinx showed up at my co-worker's house just as winter was coming on. My co-worker is very allergic to cats, but couldn't stand the thought of taking her to a shelter, since you never know if the animals are going to find a home there. She gave Jinx to me, since I'm a sucker for a lonely sob story! For the first few weeks, I didn't even know if Jinx was a girl or a boy. That's why I named her 'Jinx' - I figured, whatever the vet told me, that name would fit. I buy her super-expensive toys from TV ads, and she prefers balled up tin foil, or gazing out the front window for hours. She doesn't require walking, though, so versus a dog, she's a much better companion for me!
