I found Missy through a shelter group, who took her in when she was three years old. She came to them after the original owner tried to crop her ears, a terrible practice that serves no purpose other than aesthetics.
But while Missy may have had scars, what was truly unique about her was her personality. At any given minute of the day, she would walk crawl into your lap and just let you adore her for awhile.
But Missy was one of those cats who always had a limit when it came to adoration. At some point, (you never got to say when) she would get up, walk away and disappear until the desire for food became a necessity.
Being an older cat, she was very well behaved. But I lost count of the number of times she climbed up my back and sat on my head.
Thankfully, Missy never had any major health issues. When she did eventually pass away a few years ago, it was from simple old age. She was a joy to be around and a true mush, when she wanted to be. I miss you Missy. Rest well.
