Meeka The Meower!

It's seems like Meeka has always been a part of our family. This beautiful American Shorthair breed has been living with us for around 8 years now.
Meeka is a very clever and independent cat. She is quite adventurous and regularly leaves the house for long periods of time. She has a high predator instinct but this can sometimes lead to the discovery of little presents for us. And by 'presents' I mean other animals, such as mice, rats, rabbits and even moles! She brings these animals back to the house and usually they are alive, so we have to release them ourselves. To prevent Meeka from bringing animals into the house we had to remove the cat door. However, sometimes you could come across an unpleasant site at the front driveway.

She is a very affectionate cat though, and loves cuddles. She also loves toys.
Unfortunately, you have to be careful while cuddling her. She tends to knead her claws into your pants/skin without realising that she could be hurting you.
It's a good idea to have a thick blanket over you while spending quality time with her.

She is a very cute cat and it's funny how she sometimes sits at the dinner table when we are eating. She will leap up on a chair and you will see her tiny chin pop-up and lean on the edge of the table! She is very vocal though, and she meows constantly! Sometimes it feels like she is trying to have a conversation with you. "Does she want to go outside?" "Is she hungry?" "Does she want cuddles and attention?" These are the questions that you ask yourself as she sits there, staring at you and meowing non-stop. It is loud and some people may find it annoying, but we love her for it because it is part of who she is.

She maybe Meeka The Meower but I wouldn't have it any other way. She is a fantastic cat.
