Momma is a very pretty, older Calico... But she's more of a one-person cat, and with how cranky she tends to be, I wonder if she's come from a less-than-ideal environment, prior to coming to my home. I adopted Momma from the Humane Society over a year ago, and since, we've dealt with her urinating on the carpet when she has a litter box that she regularly uses. She will scratch or bite, sometimes if someone tries to pet her, and in the next minute, want to snuggle on a lap. My husband is ready to find her another home, but I don't feel that this would be a help to her, as she is an older cat, and has already changed homes. Granted, not all short-hairs are like this, and this is an individual case... But cats can vary so much, in my experience, that I felt I needed to share my experience with Momma. I have spent quite a bit of time with just her and I, bonding, which does help a bit. As far as my husband, and son are concerned, they don't like her as much as I do.
