Raised from a kitten, she has been a dedicated member of the family for the last 15 years. She has handled everything from several swift moves to being tugged around by little children with less than noble intentions.
Now, she simply basks in the rapidly fading fall sun and settles down on any lap available.
As with any cat of such an advanced age, I have found it is vital to monitor her health and diet for any sudden changes. I do not expect her to last much longer, having reached the end of the average house cat's lifespan, but each day is special.
