One of the best cats I've owned

When I first met this cat, the first thing he did was jump into my arms and purr. After moving him from the current owner's house to mine, he took about a week to adjust, where I left him alone until he "adopted" me and jumped onto my lap for a head scratch.

He is very affectionate, though on his own terms and he can be suddenly devilish and claw/bite (without intent to hurt, just softly) I believe he may have had some trauma as a kitten, which might explain his behavior. He is extremely healthy, and very active, much preferring the outside to inside. He is also a very good hunter.

I have yet to have any problems with him destroying any of my belongings, or scratching the couch/anything else he shouldn't, but he does have problems with other animals - especially dogs. With cats, he can be territorial but the longer he is around them the easier it is for him to get along and play with them.

He is VERY low maintenance. All he wants is scratches and food, and for the most part he will amuse himself. He tends to be skittish around children or people who approach him too quickly, also something I think that may have happened as a kitten living with an infant.
