My family adopted Fancy when she was a year old from a rescue shelter. She is now eleven years old. She is an outside cat, but we can't help but feel sorry for her when she meows on our deck so she does come inside nearly every other day. We have three beds and a heat lamp set up for her, as well as our other cat, Phoebe, in the garage.

Fancy is an all-black cat with a small, slim build. In addition to being an affectionate pet with the family, she has trained herself to be an effective hunter. She regularly brings in birds, mice, shrews and squirrels in the summer months. Over the years, she has become friends with our dog, but, even after a few years, has yet become completely accepting of our younger cat, Phoebe. She also refuses to wear collars; every collar we've put on her as disappeared by the next day. Fancy has been a great cat for our family. She can at times be moody and/or stubborn, but at the same time she enjoys spending time with us.
