Low Maintenance & High Value

I was given two kittens about one year apart from two different secretaries who worked for me. I also own dogs. The cats I have are closest in breed to American Shorthairs. Both were from different litters from different farms.

I say low maintenance because these cats are exceptionally adapt at finding their own food. I do feed them, of course, so I should say they are good at supplementing their diet.

They come inside, but are mostly outside cats keeping the mice at bay. Both of these cats are very loving to my small children -- in fact, despite being aggressive when other cats are near, one of my cats will let my 2 year old daughter pull on his hair and ears without budging!

Cats are amazing animals, protective in some ways like dogs, but require (or insist on) little interaction from humans.
