My cat, Maddie, is 9 years old. She was the kitten of a pregnant stray we had taken in, and the only girl of the litter. As I watched her be born, I knew she'd be my best friend for many years to come - and I was right. She's travelled with me (though, as she's gotten older hasn't been as keen about it), kept my company through two of my knee surgeries, and been a constant companion in my life. She gets shy around strangers, and only deals well with animals and children she's been brought up around. She's been fairly healthy, too. I haven't had many surprise vet visits. She's been, not only my pet, but like my child. I recommend this breed as a companion for anyone needing a cuddle buddy or just a good laugh watching her play with her cat toys.
