American Shorthair Tortoiseshell Cat

I've owned many cats in my life, all of them under the designation of American Shorthair, but they were of all different types of ASH breeds. My favorite ASH breed is the Tortoishell! I have found these cats to be intelligent, loyal, easily trained to do simple tricks, and very healthy. Shedding is very little with this breed due to their short fur.
Angel, our current tortoiseshell, is very playful, loving, and loyal. She will swat at my youngest child from time to time. But my son tends to tease her and hit her at random occasions, so I feel that she is simply providing him with the same level of affection. Angel will initially shy from strangers, but after a short period will come out to greet new people out curiosity.
Some folks do not like the brindle look of the Tortoiseshell coat, but I find it beautiful.
