Texas was a great cat who was safe around us kids. He was a big, strong, white, short hair and we know he had many fights with other cats outside the home. He preferred being outside but was always friendly when at home, loving kisses on the head. He would always head-butt generously and purr when we petted him.
On one occasion, my sister did tease him to the point where he started jumping at her and trying to claw her eyes, but she knew what she was doing and my dad warned her to stop. He did not repeat this behavior.
He was very easy to care for and accepted almost any cat food we gave him.
On rare occasions he would do something bad, like pee in a corner or on a pile of clothes instead of in the litter box, but 99% of the time he was well behaved and a very beloved member of our family - until one day, when he was just gone. We figured he fell victim to other wildlife and missed him dearly.
