This type of cat is very easy to take care of, with low cost and low maintenance. Silky is an outdoor cat who doesn't wander. She likes to laze in the sun, like most cats. She prefers to be left alone, and can be temperamental. Sometimes she tries to bite us, particularly the kids, if we try to pet her. She is also very hostile towards our dogs, Rosie and Lily, even though they are very friendly with cats - e.g. Silky will hiss and reach to scratch them if they are near her. I would only recommend this type of cat if to adults or older children who are looking for an independent, low-maintence pet.
