My adorable American Curl

When my family first got Double-o-Seven (our american curl), we purchased him from the local humane society and he was only 1 month old. He was tiny and absolutely adorable. He stayed inside mostly for the first year we had him, but he slowly became accustom to outdoor life. He adored my little brother who was 7 at the time, and was always sitting in his lap. Double-o-Seven didn't ever really make much noise, other than purring. There was no issue with hissing, growling, or screeching. He kept quiet and mostly to himself. He was usually walking around and jumping up on the railing of the stairs, often very mobile. We never had to take him to the vet (although I admit we probably should have), and didn't require much attention. However, he was very friendly and easy to play with. After about 2 years he enjoyed going outside and actually developed a bit of a hobby. He loved to hunt birds. It was pretty gross but it kept him busy. Another thing we'd never have to worry about was him running away. No matter how many times we let him outside, he'd always come back and lay in front of the screen door until someone let him in. My overall experience with Double-o-Seven was pretty satisfactory. I would really consider myself more of a dog person, but I could definitely make an exception for another cat like him. I highly recommend American Curls.
