Piwackett never stayed indoors if he could help it, he'd much rather be outside having kitty adventures. He'd meow at the door, or barked, depending on the day. Having raised German Sheperds as a child, my cats were sometimes confused as to whether they were cats or dogs. He would always bring home presents, either dropping them in the doorway, or bringing them to your feet. He was an excellent mouser, and there were a lot of mousy funerals because of Piwackett. His name was “Spell, Book, and Candle”, a play I enjoyed as a child very much. He enjoyed sleeping on my water bed very much, though sleeping actually ON me was preferred. He was a lovely bed warmer on those cold New York Nights, and on some cold nights on the other side of the country, I wish he was still with me.
