large enough pool
Yes, that is how my turtle acts. Sometimes I just get the impression that she thinks whole world revolves around her. Sometimes she's aggressive especially around strangers. She doesn't like to be touched but still she tolerates me. From her perspective everything is food especially our fingers. But on the other side she's quite easy to please. It's easy to feed her and clean her terrarium. She is almost kind of a natural alarm and knows exactly when is her feeding time so she goes crazy around her terrarium if I'm late. We mostly tolerate each other. If you want a turtle as a pet, prepare yourself, cause you're going to feel unappreciated. But still we love each other in our strange way..

Much work for a single employed person
The turtles were family members for 15 years but due to a family change it wasn't easy to decide who would take care of them. Due to their size and habits it was a lot of work to keep their environment clean, at least with the techniqual devices that we were using those days. They kept being picky with their supplies and rejected even special food often. They were always nice to look at and very active/social. They are still in family hands but not in a single household..
