The basics:
The Berat chicken was developed in Albania and Yugoslavia, and was named after the Albanian town of Berat. The Berat is a long crowing fowl, capable of bass voice crows lasting up to 15 seconds. Berat fowl became very rare after the last World War, and is lingering by only a couple of breeders based in Albania, Yugoslavia, and Turkey.
