The basics:
The Augsburger is a very rare breed which was developed in Augsburg, Bavaria in the 1880's. The Augsburger is believed to have been created by crossing La Fleche and Lamotte chickens.

Types: Bantam and Largefowl
Varieties (Buttercup Comb): Black and Blue
Uses: Eggs, Preservation
Weight: Largefowl 4.5 - 6.5 lb
Personality: Augsburgers are friendly when being feed, but otherwise to preoccupied to be social.
Preferred climate: Any
Handles Confinement: Large coops and runs only
Egg production: Very good (4/week)
Egg color: White
Egg size: Extra Large
