The Kyoga Flameback is a small and colorful Cichlid which is native to the Kyoga Basin in Uganda, which is part of the drainage of the Victorian Nile River. The Kyoga Flameback is uncommon in the aquarium trade. It is an algae eater, and is considered to be less aggressive and territorial than the Lake Malawi cichlids.
Male Kyoga Flameback are brightly colored in yellow. green and red.
