The Cardinal Shrimp is a small and colorful crustacean which is found in lakes on the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia. It inhabits the rocky lake bottom and feds on algae. The Cardinal Shrimp has only been available to the aquarium trade since 2007, and is considered to be a species best kept by advanced hobbyists.
The Cardinal Shrimp has a light or dark red colored body with white dots running along its side. dark rose or light red colouration and has a series of breathtaking white dots along its side, some of which have a blue outline.
