I acquired Piper as a rescue from a family who no longer wanted him because he was bonded to the father f the house. His two young boys and wife were afraid of him. When I met him he took to me right away, love at first sight. In fact I later found out he liked all females and children. He wanted constant attention and would call loudly if he heard a ruckus in the home or visitors. He was very animated, loved to be pet and cuddled, spoke a few words and phrases, and was a gentle giant. Unfortunately he would not allow my husband to pick him up or interact with him. If my husband offered his hand and said step up Piper would bite him and scrape a layer of skin off. He could be very loud, very messy, and when stressed he could act a bit dangerous due to his size and powerful beak.
