When I first received my bird he had a broken foot - the other birds beat him up and isolated him at PetSmart. I really wasn't prepared for this particular bird as he would always wake me up at 5 am (to my parents amusement) and he would go to the bathroom all over the walls. HOWEVER! After months and months of love, affection and constant training and routine he was able to relax. He was a very affectionate bird, loved snuggling up on my shoulder and hiding in my hair. I could take him outside on walks on my shoulder and he would stay put. I would highly recommend these beautiful birds as starter birds. As long as you're willing to put in the work and know what to expect when owning a bird, they can be wonderful companions.
