I got Perry from some friends that were going to the university so they were staying in dorms. I never owned birds priorly, but I wasn't uncertain. Thankfully my friends always made sure she was real healthy and we went together to buy her new things for her new home.

The very first advantage was that she was really silent. I didn't live alone so that was a good thing, I didn't need to preoccupy about any noise. She is so clever, intrigued and huggable. Haha. She likes it when I pet her. I seriously didn't know that a bird would be so soft and "huggable". She really likes bathing in the sink.

Anyhow, whenever I am cooking, I get so concentrated and she becomes very frustrated because she wants attention. She's not as affable with other people like she is with me, she's just not as hyper when they're around until she sees them more often. She's only warm with me. She's also a social bird she really has to be doing something all that time. Fortunately, my family adores birds so she's more affectionate with them than with friends or strangers.

I believe a Green-cheeked Conure is an enjoyable pet for somebody that's alone and needs some company that can devote a lot of time and interaction with this bird as if it was your kid.
