Alex primarily belonged to my mother, who loved him as much as any furry pet. He went with her everywhere, and enjoyed nestling himself down in her shirt collar for the ride. Alex was a very sweet, personable bird!

The good:
- Very sociable! Alex liked people and would go sit with them at any given moment, regardless of how long he'd known them.
- Very intelligent. Alex could mimic whistles easily.

The bad:
- Messy. The mess was contained to his cage, but birds definitely aren't self-cleaning animals.
- Expensive. Purchasing food wasn't always the easiest act on the wallet.
