I loved my cockatiel... I got flash as a birthday present from my grandpa who as a bird lover, had aviaries full of different birds.

He named the bird flash because I was obsessed with flash gordon at the time and spent ages trying to teach him to sing the theme tune to flash gordon.

Unfortunately flash never picked up the tune because he was as stubborn as I am but he did sing crazy tunes all the time and if you needed to him to stay quiet you just threw a towel of the cage and he'd go to sleep.

The style of cage my grandpa (one where the base swung outwards) made it really easy to clean and feed him so he was a really low maintenace pet.

I wish I had a photo of him I could share with you guys.
