Mia and Tia were the first 2 birds I ever owned. I saw them at a pet store and fell in love with them instantly. Their beautiful colors made them stand out amongst all the rest. They were easy to take care of feeding wise. But sometimes the cage would be disastrous. Often times food would end up outside of the cage and I would have a pretty big mess to clean up. Incredibly friendly, they were never scared of being handled. It wasn't uncommon to find Mia and Tia's cage outside on our porch, so that they could get fresh air and take in a little sun. Unfortunately one day when Mia and Tia were outside, a family member opened the cage and when I returned they were gone. I was heartbroken. Though my experience ended with a personal loss, I would recommend a Cockatiel to anyone looking for a beautiful and fun bird.
