Jerry Lee was a rescue. I found him in the back of a house. Someone was giving him food, but he was in a dark room and his cage was dirty. I cleaned him up and put him in a new larger cage. I got him used to people again. These birds don't talk as much as others, but he would sing, and if you played Andy Griffith on the t.v., he would whistle along and give people a good laugh because it was perfect pitch to the tune. He was easy to care for. They just like to look and be played with also. Make sure and give them some flight time and train them to fly around the house from when they are little. My grandparents had 2, Elvis and Persella, and my grandfather always let them out to play. It is better to have two so they have company when you are gone. They are very fun birds. Jerry Lee lived a long life and at least the last part of it was good.
