Meeko - The Friendly Cockatiel

Meeko,

He's a friendly bird of many emotions. I would have never thought that a bird could act so much like a human.

From the first day that I got meeko we became best of buds. When I first brought him into my house, the first thing he did was explore. He got into cabinets, crawled under the couch, and even smashes into the blinds, he was very confused.

After a week of playing with Meeko daily, he started to get more comfortable with his surroundings and started to calm down. He was a two year old bird uprooted, put into a shelter, and finally to my house. He was stressed to say the least.

Now days Meeko is a much friendlier bird, he is no longer standoffish. When told too he will return to his cage and close the door behind him. He is allowed to roam freely when I am not home, but still makes a mess.

Meeko is not the cleanest bird in the world, but is always happy to talk to my friends on XBox Live when I am yelling at them through the mic.

I would ask for no better bird!
