I have thoroughly enjoyed my love, Lula. She is sweet, intelligent, and loves a scratch on the head. I would recommend getting a bird that has been hand fed and hand raised. I feel like this made her easier to bring into the home and begin bonding with. She always wants to sit with me or be close by. The downside is that sometimes when I leave the room she will shreak until I come back in. This is difficult for apartment living. She is usually pretty clean but can toss some seeds out of her cage while eating and I will usually find feathers in her area. She is very open to new people and animals. Recently she became best of friends with my sisters miniature poodle! Her favorite thing is a bird bath is a pie dish on the patio on a hot sunny day. Because I am in an urban area I do keep her wings clipped for her safety.
