We only had Charlie for 3 years, and the biggest disconnect we had with him was he was unfriendly toward other people. We are not sure if this was because we got him from a pet store or not. He was about 6 months old when we got him, and are not sure if he had a previous owner aside from the store. He seemed to already be set in his ways and did not particularly like children. And lets not forget the noise too. Sometimes we couldn't get him to be quiet even during night hours while we were trying to sleep!

After 3 years, we decided to let our close friend have him. She had been asking to take him off our hands for quite some time and hers had recently passed away, so it only seemed right. I don't think we will ever have another cockatiel in our home, as it wasn't the most pleasant experience.
