Cockatiel birds

I have owned two cockatiel birds, and both of them have become part of the family. Their songs and sounds, while not quite as pleasant as they could be, became a signature of our house. They quickly learned to speak their own names, saying "Hi Beppe".

Birds are not for everyone. They require a fair amount of cleaning up (completely cleaning out their cages at LEAST once a month,) and they require some attention to keep from hurting themselves or tapestry.
They are however very easy to put asleep, just throw a thick blanket over their cage when you go to bed and you wont hear from them until the morning.
