This bird was a PLEASURE to raise and own. I got him from the pet store, and he was an aviary bird - so untrained. At first he was aggressive and very difficult to handle, but with the help of my sister, we trained him not to bite or harm himself and helped him learn how to fly. I used to play the flute for him, and he would sing along with the tunes. He became a true member of the family. He was quite territorial over my sister and myself. He didn't like anyone else touching or handling him, so I wouldn't recommend his breed to children unless the bird had prior training with a professional.

Positives:

* Beautiful appearance
* Beautiful singing
* Loyal
* Healthy

Negatives:

* Territorial
