Beautiful Birds, Nice Pets

I grew up with a cockatiel in my home. They're beautiful birds. However, they aren't the friendliest with children under 8 years old. They are known to bite on occasion so please be careful when handling. They are less likely to bite the more attention you give to them.

Baby was a sweet bird especially with our family. She learned some whistles but did not mimic anything through voice. She liked to be handled and talked to and she adored being sung to.

I would recommend a cockatiel to anyone who has the time to give the bird a decent amount of attention. They don't need as much attention as some pets but they do need to be talked to every day and handled often.
