Baby the Cockatiel

I got Baby the cockatiel from a neighbor of mine. The name was not my choice. She was a moody bird. The most important thing I learned about birds from having her is that even if their wings are clipped, they still need room to fly. So, if you have a small home that can be troublesome. Birds require A LOT of upkeep. Their cages start to smell quickly and can be very messy. I had a small home and a busy schedule and could not spend a lot of time with Baby. I ended up having to give her to an older friend, who was home all day, and could give her the attention she needs. They LOVED each other. It was a better fit. Also, maybe go mites from somewhere...which apparently is common. I don't know if she had them when I got her or acquired them from my other animals or what...but it was not an easy fix.
