I loved my Cockatiel. She was a gentle and loving bird that never had a biting problem (I've heard that some breeds do). The positive side definitely outweighs the negative. She would fly around the house and would always get back to her cage when she grew tired. She was very active and if I knew how to train her properly, she would have been able to do it all - talk, whistle etc she was a smart bird.

However, she was also noisy at times. Mostly, when we were all trying to go to sleep or at the crack of dawn and she was very messy. I would recommend her breed though, because they are beautiful to have. You just need the time and dedication to teach them.
