I had owned a Cockatiel when I was much younger. This is a great pet for people who enjoy the company of birds. With all birds you have the chance of having a highly vocal bird; this would be one of those breeds. We used to let our birds roam the house when we were at home. If we ever needed to find them, we would whistle a song, and they would mimic it back to us. That was extremely fun for us children; on the other hand, it was sometimes annoying for the adults in the house.

They are very easy to take care of, which is a always a plus. You must remember to feed them and give them fresh water. Taking them out of the cage makes them less aggressive. If they are an aggressive bird, be sure to watch them with young children; their bite is hard enough to draw blood.

There isn't much information I have to share from the time I spent with these animals; because there wasn't much needed to do other than nourish them, and play with them.
