Sam The Cockatiel

I got Sam about three years ago from a lady who couldn't keep him any longer. I think he was about 6 months old when I got him. He's quite the unique bird.

Sam is an absolute devil when it comes to the cat. I don't know if he will do in the cat or it will do him in first. He can sound exactly like me calling the cat and he does it often. He will go into the kitchen and set on top of the refrigerator and call the cat. When the cat runs down the stairs into the kitchen he will look at the cat like see I told you the cat is dumb.

Felix the cat will often try to catch him and I have to hurry to catch the cat. Sam acts like he's dying and will scream get the cat. I used to think they didn't like each other but now I'm not sure.

Sometimes I think they have conversations when I'm gone. Not long ago Felix fell in the commode and Sam came into the kitchen before I knew it and said cat drowned. I went and looked real quick and sure enough Felix was wet. I've wondered if the bird pushed the cat.

If Felix goes to sleep in one of the kitchen chairs I have to keep a close eye on Sam because several times I've caught him pulling the cats tail. So I guess you could say that Sam is a troublemaker.
