I don't know if all birds of this breed do this, but mine started to make a very loud squeaky sound that was driving me crazy, which was the reason I sold him after a few months.
It was easy to teach him songs if I whistled to him regularly. I let him fly freely around my apartment, and he liked to sit on my shoulder and snuggle. Unfortunately there was birdshit everywhere, and he liked to bite everything he could bite, like my sofa, cupboards and other things soft enough to be torn apart. He was quite a character, and if he hadn't started his annoying loud noises, I would have kept him longer.
