My Cockatiel

By

Posted Dec 10, 2012

When I was in high school, my mom bought me a cockatiel for my 16th birthday. This bird was so much fun to have! I loved having a cockatiel! I loved how they would sing and mimic the many sounds/song you sang to them and I loved how they would just hang out with you. My cockatiel was very lovable and very friendly. He was aggressive only sometimes, and during those time I would leave him alone. He never bit me too hard, and when he did bite it was only a nibble. They are pretty east to maintain, except for the poop and the bird seeds and feathers that fly everywhere! They are relatively inexpensive, once you have all the amenities such as the cage. The cleaning of the cage and the area around the birds is the only trying aspect of having a bird because they are so messy. If you give these birds plenty of attention and love, they are sure to respond positively and be a rewarding loving addition to your family.
