We got Pete (the Cockatiel) from a friend who had just recently had a baby. According to my friend, Pete had started acting all weird as soon as the baby was born (Jealousy?) and needed constant attention, so Pete had to go.

We took him in and he was a WONDERFUL bird, he could whistle out a few tunes and could follow along as well. Wonderful around guests, but you had to make sure you didn't try to pick him up before he was ready for you to pick him up: He had quite the bite.

However, when we were ready to have a baby of our own, we had to give Pete away.. An older couple took him and we were happy to see that they had other birds as well (Parakeets, Canaries, and some others), so we knew Pete was going to a good home :)
