Jack flew into the tree in front of our house one day. When all efforts to find his family were unsuccessful, we had a new bird! He was beautiful, with brightly colored feathers. We'd never had a bird before so we had to learn quickly, via the Internet, how to care for him. We got a cage and food the next day and things went well. It was easy to care for him. The only drawback was that Jack was very angry and had trust issues. He would peck, hard, at anyone who made the mistake of coming close to his cage. We think he might have had a bad experience with previous owners. We had to give him away after three months because of our inexperience and allergies. His new family have cared for many birds and they had another Catalina Macaw. We're glad he went to a good home and gained a companion.
