Okay so i may be exaggerating in the review about how long i've owned the birds, but it was for sure a long time. They were cute, in that beady little, "i dont really care about you what is this strange thing above me looking down am i in h***?", kind of way.
Do not get me wrong i loved my birds, they were the first pet my mother and father allowed me to have but i had been very wrong in my selection of first pets ( should have picked something that doesnt get up at first sign of light and have a stinky tray in their cage, and VERY loud chirping.) they came to me in what was the first of a very soft spot in my personality for taking animals who would soon be surrendered to the humane society, injured, killed or homeless, and welcoming them into my home not really thinking of the responsibilities.
Let me sum this up to say they were cute, but loud and impossible to silence in the mornings, their chirping was so loud it was almost maddening. There feathers got every where and I live in a family with a hunting dog who would sit, and lick the feathers from the floor, but the birds were always just out of his reach, so cleaning up the after math of him eating the feathers is also another minus on my list.
Pretty to look at though. My point is, they would make a great pet for some one who likes mornings, and enjoys loud chirping sounds and a little bit of upkeep doesnt bother them.
