Budgerigar Review

I had budgies as a child. I had two of them, a male and a female. I loved my birds very much. They were always chit chatting. I liked the noises they made, but I can see how they might annoy someone who likes peace and quiet, as the noise was pretty much constant. They were very active and easy to feed. Keeping birds now as an adult, a lot has changed with what we know about parrot care. Budgies shouldn't be given only seed. They should also be given pellets and veggies, but I didn't know that back when I was a kid. They lived a decent amount of time considering. They did bite, but it didn't really hurt when they did. They make great birds for someone who is just starting out with parrots. They are also great mimics, although mine didn't talk.
