It requires a lot of patience to own a Budgerigar, mostly because they very high-pitched sounds and they aren't that friendly. I often got bit when I tried to pet him or feed him. You might lose some sleep with him if he is bored. The best way to keep him entertained is to either buy him a friend at least a mirror.

Doesn't require to much attention, feed him bird seed and keep him near a window so that he has something to focus his attention. Don't leave the cage open, it will fly in an instant and has the tendency to never come back. I almost lost him once.
