When I first got this bird, I was so happy. Chipper was cute, easy to care for, and quite friendly once accustomed to me. After a short time, however, I saw a mean streak. I'm not sure why it came out, but all of a sudden feeding time was difficult and physical contact wasn't welcome anymore.
One day, sadly, my dog broke into the cage when it was outside for some fresh air and ate the poor thing. So pretty much don't trust your dog near the bird at all!
