A pet I would like to own again.

I owned my parakeet Coconut for a few years. He was a very cheerful bird, but very skittish. I wish I would have been able to train him a little bit, or at least hold him or have him sit on my shoulder. He never tried to bite me or anything but he definitely didn't seem comfortable with the idea of my giant hand coming toward his tiny little body. He always sang pretty songs in the morning. It was a very pleasant sound to wake up to!

He was a generally clean bird as long as we kept up on the cage cleaning. Sometimes he would spit the seeds outside of the cage and of course his feathers always floated He ate all kinds of seed and treat bars. He loved talking to his toy mirror and he really liked his cuttlebone.

I found owning a parakeet to be a lot of fun and Coconut was always good company, even if he was too nervous to actually sit with me. It's a pet I look forward to owning again now that I'm older. Hopefully I'll be able to train and befriend my next parakeet!
