Budgerigar - Maybe the easiest pet to keep

The Budgerigar is my favorite pet to keep. I have owned 5 of them over the years and they are the easiest and most hassle free of all pets. To feed, give them seeds or pellets every other day and clean water each day. Once a week I like to peel and chop up an apple, birds love fruit. You should always have some cuttlebone hanging inside the cage. This is an essential for keeping your bird healthy.

My bird likes a variety of toys to play with that helps keeps him occupied. Chewy toys also help to keep his beak healthy. His cage is cleaned once per week and scrubbed out once a month. My bird flies outside his cage a few times a week. It's great exercise and without it, birds lose the use of their wings. Budgerigars can live a long time. All my birds have lived to at least 10 years old. The oldest living to almost 15.
