Our budgie, Wacka, has been with our family for many months, and has always been there to lighten the mood. He is not very loud, but has his moments where he sings very enthusiastically.
We have to keep him in his cage 24/7 because he is untrained and will not return, which is unfortunate. He is easy to look after and copes well with people, but prefers to stay away.
He is very easy to feed, being able to eat many types of seeds such as canola, millet and linseed, which can all be picked up together in a seed bag.
His feathers are vibrantly coloured, being mostly green with patches of blue.
He is an exceptional flyer and has very strong legs, and is able to get into anywhere he can. Unfortunately we can only rarely let him out of his cage.
